Old projects, new everything.

In 2016 I wanted to make a 3D fishing game. The only problem was: I didn’t know how to 3D model, Code, Draw, Make music, Essentially anything that I would need to make such a game. I’d have to learn everything from the ground up.

I made some… Early attempts.

It wasn’t the prettiest… But it taught me some stuff, and more importantly: it got me to start making art. Eventually I ended up abandoning the project as I started making art more for it’s own sake.

Despite never going anywhere, I owe a lot to this project. It’s really important to me.
So I’m going to finish it!

That means remaking every model I had done, rebuilding the island, re-recording audio, and while not necessary I’m switching engines too! I will now be using Godot rather than Unity!

Well… There is actually one model I won’t be updating. Or, rather will try and change as little as possible. Since this was the game that got me into 3D modelling, the first model I ever made was in it. And I’m going to make sure it stays in the final.

See if you can spot it!
